Submitting digital files can save you money by minimizing or
eliminating the Designing Stage of development. Artwork submitted as
a digital file will still need to go through the Engineering
and Separation Stages before it can be successfully
screen printed.
Guidelines for submitting Digital Files:File
Format (Applications)
• Adobe Illustrator 10 or earlier. (Save as an .ai, .pdf or eps file.)
• Photoshop 6 or earlier. (Submit tiffs at actual size and 300dpi. No
jpegs or gifs.) Color separated in Spot On Process. Photoshop files
need to be in spot color, not cmyk or rgb format. Process printing (cmyk
or rgb) works great for color printing on paper, but is not cost
effective in most cases for screen printing, due to the tight
registration required.
Special
instructions: Convert all fonts to outlines or paths. Include all
linked images such as tiffs, jpegs, and bmps. Include a hardcopy of
each separation with the color labeled clearly. Mac and PC formats
accepted.
One Color Art:
can be submitted as bmp, psd, pdf, tif, gif, or jpg formats as long
as it is at least 200 dpi and is the actual size.
